Jesus teaches us to resist temptation by relying on God’s Word, saying, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). He reminds us to pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:13).
